As the Chinese/ Filipino-Chinese community welcomes the Year of the Fire Rooster, Shangri-La Plaza and Ateneo de Manila University Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies held its annual Spring Film Festival, for the 11th year this time which happened on January 25-31.

The Spring Film Festival showcased the modern Chinese, Filipino-Chinese culture to Filipino film-fanatics through six different movies of various genre-namely Book of Love, Everybody’s Fine, A Complicated Story,Horseplay, Red Amnesia, and Wolf Totem, which are all available to the public for free!

Live events such as Chinese Painting Exhibit together with the famous Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance, Chinese Music Concert, Chinese Pastel Painting Workshop were also performed at the Shangri-La Plaza Atrium to give the guests a glimpse of the uniqueness and diversity of the rich culture of China. – Andrea Claire Belen
